Awario, a Finnish innovation, is a game-changer in Australian healthcare

The Awario Event service developed for remote monitoring of cardiac arrhythmia was launched in Australia on 4 May 2022.
Heart2Save, a company from Finland, and the Australian Network Optimiser Solution entered into a partnership that aims to make the company’s reliable and preventive service for monitoring arrhythmia also available in healthcare in Australia. Awario’s services have been previously granted an EU certificate for medical devices and certification has now also been obtained in Australia.

The Awario service concept was developed in Finland in close cooperation with primary healthcare operators. Extensive piloting has been used to verify the user-friendliness of the service, in both self-monitoring and as a tool for home nursing. Significantly, the service enables saving up to 90% of the time spent by physicians on interpreting ECG reports. ‘The Awario service concept can be utilised in healthcare in Australia without a need for making significant changes’, notes Kristine Binney, Business Manager Medical at NetOpt. Awario’s services are a real game changer, especially in our regions where there are long distances to healthcare services. The first comments received from healthcare professionals have been highly promising.
