Vilma Torstila, Partner, Investment Director, BOCAP
An experienced entrepreneur who has worked for the last 10 years as a partner and investment manager in BOCAP, Finland’s leading SME growth fund management company. Solid experience in the internationalization of growth companies, corporate restructuring, building sales and marketing organizations and strategy work. Has worked since 2013 as a board member and face-to-face investor owner in a dozen technology-oriented companies, e.g. imaging technology, DevOps software development, positioning technology and smart LED in the field of lighting solutions. Worked centrally in the Finnish capital investment field, first as an advisor at an investment bank and then for 10 years contributing to the establishment and fundraising of BOCAP’s funds, which manages just under €200 million. Together with the BOCAP team, manage a business portfolio with a combined turnover of around €550M, directly employing 5,000 people.
