New Partnership and Policy Changes Pave the Way for QUMEA’s Long-Term Care Innovations in Finland
QUMEA enters a new partnership with Suomen Digitaalinen Tehdas Oy (Digital Factory Finland) to bring advanced technology solutions to long-term care in Finland. Recent legislative changes in Finland are creating an ideal environment for this partnership.
This collaboration follows a successful pilot in elderly care in Helsinki. Suomen Digitaalinen Tehdas Oy (Digital Factory Finland) will support QUMEA locally by managing sales, customer service, and installations, as well as providing innovative insights to enhance care quality. To strengthen the partnership, Suomen Digitaalinen Tehdas Oy is hiring a new customer success manager with a social care background.
Starting January 2025, new policies will reduce the required care personnel quotas in facilities, making it easier to adopt supportive technologies like QUMEA’s AI-driven notification and alarm system. These changes allow care providers to allocate resources more efficiently, especially during night shifts, and set customized alerts based on individual patient needs. This supportive policy shift underscores Finland’s commitment to leveraging technology to enhance long-term care.
QUMEA and SSuomen Digitaalinen Tehdas Oy will showcase their innovations at the Hyvinvointiteknologiamessut event in Pori on November 1, 2024.
