HealthHub Finland EDIH set to start in October ’22
European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIHs) are part of the EU’s new Digital Europe Programme. They function as service points that boost digital investments and the digitalisation of SMEs. By providing access to technical expertise and experimentation as well as the possibility to ‘test before invest’, EDIHs help companies improve their processes, products, or services using digital technologies.
Kuopio Health is the full beneficiary partner in the HealthHub Finland EDIH project, providing the customers with the innovation ecosystem services. However, the main part of the actual digitization services to the EDIH customers from Kuopio are provided by DigiCenter North Savo and Kuopio Living Lab. These services are subcontracted from the Kuopio Health members Savonia University of Applied Sciences and University of Eastern Finland.
The preparation of the contracts with the Commission are entering the final stages, and the targeted start day of the project is already set. It is anticipated that the project will start on 1st of October 2022.
