Korea – Finland Healthcare Symposium
Korea National Institute of Health (KNIH), Business Finland and Embassy of Finland Korea, are organizing a high-level virtual symposium to enhance health area collaboration in research and innovation on the 19th of November 2020. The webinar is organized as a part of the 6th Science and Technology Joint Committee meeting between the Republic of Korea and Finland, the government level negotiations to identify strategic collaboration area for research, innovation and commercial activities.
The main topics of the November seminar are the utilization of bio big data like health, genome and My data in research and development as well as the AI and other advanced technologies/platforms in data mining. This seminar is continuum of the KNIH visit and the 1st symposium in Finland in autumn 2019 that was organized together with Business Finland, the Academy of Finland, the Ministry of Social and Health and the National Institute of Health and Wellbeing Finland.
The seminar invites experts from academia and industry, as well as government representatives and other major stakeholders from Korea and Finland to present and discuss about mutual areas of interests in data driven research and innovation. The seminar aims to provide a platform for identifying concrete joint research and innovation cooperation initiatives and to address and discuss on related policy issues
The symposium is supported by Korean National Institute of Health and Team Finland, Ministry of Social Affairs and Health, Academy of Finland, Embassy of Finland in Korea, as well as other relevant entities from Korea and Finland.
